Five TV aliens we love
What would we do without aliens on TV? I hesitate to think about the plethora of human characters we’d have to endure in their place. Fortunately, I don’t have to worry about an alien-less TV universe, especially now that the iconic 80s series, V, is back (Catch it Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on CTV). What better time to honour TV’s most memorable outsiders? Scaly-skinned or pointy-eared, these extraordinary extraterrestrials came from galaxies far away to bring us endless amounts of fun. Here, five TV aliens we love:
5. Mork (Mork and Mindy)
An alien with a sense of humour and a unique sense of style—no one could pull off a tight bateau shirt and suspenders like Robin Williams. The E.T. from planet Ork was childlike and charming. Hey, there’s no rule that every alien has to be an intelligent life form. Nanoo, Nanoo!
4. Teal’C (SG-1)
A Jaffa with a conscience, Teal’C (Christopher Judge) has chosen a difficult path. Renouncing his own kind, his family, and jeopardizing his health, he’s dedicated himself to the destruction of the parasitic Goa’uld. And if you understood that last sentence you are a geek of the highest order. Greetings! Now would you please return my Lord of the Rings DVDs?
