Halloween of Hollywood's past

In Tinseltown, every day is a little like Halloween. You know - get dressed up, get your face done up, get loads of attention, get free treats, party ‘til dawn… So when the spookiest night of the year rolls around, spotlight-loving stars really have to crank it up a notch in the crazy department. To get ready for the holiday, here are the top five most outrageous costumes worn by stars in Halloweens past.

1. Heidi Klum as Kali, the Hindu goddess of death and destruction
The only thing Heidi might love more than her three kids and free Victoria’s Secret swag is October 31. Every year, the supermodel throws a massive party to celebrate the spooky season, and every year her costumes get more and more surprising.

And, frankly, ridiculous! She’s sort of like Donna Martin from the original 90210. Remember how she’d always wear something totally impractical (like a mermaid costume) and then complain about how uncomfortable she was.

Last year’s effort was predictably over-the-top. Klum wore head-to-toe blue body makeup as the Hindu goddess Kali, who, among other things, has six arms. Which I’m sure Heidi would say means she can hug Seal three times as often (they’re in love, didn’t you hear?).

2. Cindy Crawford as Amy Winehouse
So like I said, Heidi Klum throws an annual bash, but as far as the crème de la crop are concerned, anyone who’s anyone goes to Kate Hudson’s Halloween blow out. Last year’s A-only guest list included a smattering of Olsens, Witherspoons, Gyllenhaals, Timberlakes…you get the picture.
